Trompe l'oeil illusions use realistic-looking imagery to fool us into believing that an object could be real. Often using anamorphosis, which requires them to be viewed from a certain angle, this method of creating illusions has been used for centuries, and there are artists that have perfected the technique, creating trompe l'oeil illusions that truly do trick the eyes.

Businesses have got in on the fun too, using Trompe l'oeil, or trick of the eye, illusions for everything from eye-catching billboards and video campaigns.
