We've been deal-hunting on graphics cards for many years now, so we're well-placed to assess the Prime Day deals that are actually worth your time, and those that have been inflated to look better than they are. We haven't stuck to Amazon for this guide, often the best offers are from elsewhere during this sales event so we've checked out the whole web in our quest to bring you a bargain.
Though it's not always easy to save loads on GPUs, they are some of the priciest kit you'll ever invest in so managing to grab a deal could be key in deciding which one to go for. You may not see deals on brand new models, but you'll definitely be able to save on a previous-gen graphics card – and we've already found some record-low prices. Our best graphics card roundup will help you choose, and if you're looking for deals outside of graphics cards, go scour our Apple Prime Day hub.
We've split this list into three categories: high-end, mid-range and budget graphics cards (use the links to the left to jump around). We've classed anything high-end as above $650/£600, mid-range as around $450/£400 and budget as below $300/£250.

High-end graphics cards deals
ZOTAC RTX 4080 Trinity OC: $1,299.99 $1,097 at Amazon
Save $202: This is an unusual discount. The RTX 4080 doesn't often come down lower than the RRP, and it's a seriously powerful gaming card, so much so many games can't even take advantage of its capability. One review said: "Nvidia's DLSS paired with Frame Generation, and Reflex technologies offer a smooth gaming experience at higher resolution," and the same reviewer loved its performance and speed, whilst wishing it was cheaper. Well, they got their wish with this deal.
Price check: Walmart $1,299 | Best Buy $1,249
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4080: £1,449 £1,127.62 at Amazon
Save £322.37: If you've got money to spend on a top-of-the-range graphics card then the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 has 16GB RAM, a 2535MHz core clock and comes with a four-year warranty. It has a special cooling system to make sure it doesn't overheat and there's also a funky three-ring lighting system to keep things interesting.
Price check: Currys £1,350
Mid-range graphics card deals
AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Speedster Swift 309:
$419.99 $329 at Amazon
Save $89: This 12GB gaming GPU is a safe bet for a mid-range card – and it's currently at a record-low price at Amazon. If you're happy gaming at 1440p/2K this is for you as that's its sweet spot and it struggles a bit more at 4K (though still performs reasonably). Reviews say it's quiet and cool (thanks to its triple fans), and though it's not the new kid on the block it's at a good price and will do the job. One thing to note is it is quite big, though.
Price check: BestBuy $329.99 | Newegg $349.99
GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070: $569.99 $499.99 at Amazon
Save $70: This reduction nudges this highly-praised Gaming OC card just into the mid-range bracket. This reduction was at an all time low price a couple of days ago. It has risen a bit, but it's still a reasonable discount on a for a card one reviewer said is "uncompromising" on performance. It has 8GB RAM, DisplayPort, HDMI and a clock speed of 1815 MHz. Sure, it's a couple of years old but the price more than makes up for not having the latest model. Perfect for gaming, video editing and heavy workflows, this card is capable of 4K but it isn't the quietest one on the block.
Price check: Newegg $499.99
Budget graphics cards deals
ASRock Challenger Arc A750: $289 $229.99 at Newegg
Save $40: One of the better budget cards around, this Intel beauty is a quiet winner that delivers great performance and cooling. This model gives you 8GB of memory and double fans. It feels like a quality bit of kit, even at this price, and with this discount it's a great price for a 1080p graphics card.
Price check: Walmart $229.99
MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3050: $242.99 $219.99 at Amazon
Save 9%: With 8 GB RAM, 1.81 GHz speed and PCI Express output, this card is a solid budget option. Reviews say it's super-quiet and stands up to 1080p gameplay, but won't stand up to 1440p or ray tracing. However, if you're looking for a budget card and you're happy with this performance level, you'll be happy with the price and power on offer (especially with this all-time low deal). There's also a deal on the larger 12GB version, at $289.99 – only $10 off the lowest ever.
Price check: BestBuy: $229.99
MSI Radeon RX 6650 XT Gaming: £259.98 £219.98 at Amazon
Save 15%: With 8 GB RAM, 2,491 MHz clock speed you'll get a good amount of power, which works well for gaming. However, one reviewer complained about the card's cooling system, which they felt ran quite loudly. If that won't bother you then this is a decent buy, especially at this price.

All you need to know
Are there graphics cards deals in the Amazon Prime Day sale?
There are usually at least a handful of very decent Prime Day graphics cards deals. Last year's July event saw a spread of noteworthy deals – especially on Nvidia cards – and the subsequent Early Access event followed suit (though they were not as plentiful).
It's worth noting that these deals aren't usually on the newest models, but you can still pick up a very decent card with a considerable discount – so even if you can't get the newest model, you should still be pleased.
How do we choose the best Prime Day graphics cards deals?
We use a combination of our expertise and our detective skills to find the deals actually worth your while. First of all, we scour the web to see what's available and then, when we find GPUs we like (with excellent reputations and reviews), we do a deep dive into the price history. This way we can report on the offers in the context of previous sales against the RRP.
Is Prime free during the Prime Day sale?
Access to the benefits of Amazon Prime, including members-only discounts, requires a Prime subscription, but you can access deals in the Prime Early Access Sale for free if you're not already a Prime member. You can do that be signing up for a 30-day free Amazon Prime trial. You can sign up now to use your trial Prime membership to access any deals, and you can always cancel afterwards if you don't want the other benefits.
What Amazon Prime Day graphics card deals should I look for?
During Prime Day last year, most of the Prime Day graphics cards deals that we saw were on Nvidia products, especially on Gigabyte, Asus ROG and EVGA versions of Nvidia's graphics cards, and the same is true this year. Although we have seen the odd AMD card at a discount, too.
