Braids
You'd think it would be impossible to create something this awe-inspiring using just 1k of data. This fantastic kaleidoscope-inspired sequence, built using OpenGL by Luminesce, garnered third prize in the 1k category.
Traceless
This fabulous animation takes you on an epic journey through surreal, sci-fi-esque landscapes. Created for the Windows/DX9 platform by TBC, it deservedly won second place in the 1k category.
Embers
This minute-long voyage through the glowing embers of a fire scooped the top prize in the 1k category of the Assembly competition. It was created for Mac OS X by TDA, using the OpenGL Shading Language (GLSL). Incredible stuff.
