After doing some research, I've come up with the nine essential board games to buy in 2026. They include art-based titles, modern strategy games, and three absolute classics that all serious aficionados should own.

And although it's officially Prime Day (Week!) right now, I've not limited myself to only the titles that are one sale (though a number of them are). I wanted to put down the absolute best titles in each category... and I don't know about you, but I'm no longer board of Prime Day!
