Brendán is a senior partner in design based in Lippincott’s New York office. A native of Dublin, Brendán has over 25 years of experience at Lippincott spanning identity design, brand voice, campaign development and customer experience innovation. Brendán has led and designed programs for a wide spectrum of clients including Aer Lingus, Ameriprise, BD, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Bombardier, CIBC, CityMD, Comcast, DuPont, Hearst, Intuit, Liberty Mutual, Morgan Stanley, MSK, Samsung, SK, The New Yorker, Toys ‘R’ Us, The Weather Channel, TimeWarner, Wells Fargo and Vale. His pro bono work includes NYC Pride, The New York Historical, Be The Match and Lighthouse International.

His work has been featured in Design Management Journal, Graphis, Metropolis, Novum, PRINT and The Wall Street Journal, discussed on National Public Radio and published in numerous books on corporate identity design. His work for the Society of Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD), a series of symbols for the sight, hearing and physically impaired and the concept of a universal access symbol, is now in use by many leading cities and organizations including The Museum of Modern Art. He has been a guest speaker at SXSW and AIGA.

Brendán’s first book “Ready for School, Murphy?”, was published by Disney Hyperion in 2015. Brendán has been a senior lecturer in information design and corporate identity at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. His work has received awards from the SEGD, the Type Directors Club of New York, the Drum, Graphis, Transform and has been exhibited at the Type Directors Club and the Oireachtas in Dublin. Brendán holds an E.C. certificate in advertising from the College of Commerce, Dublin, a B.S. in Printing Technology from Pittsburg State University, Kansas, and an M.Des. in Design from the University of Cincinnati. He has also studied painting at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin.
