Since 2011 the Chinese brand Sihoo has released over 30 different office chairs, and though I've only tried and tested nine of them, I've found them well-built, long-lasting and great value for money. And the best of the bunch is the Sihoo M18 – my favourite office chair, which is currently on sale over at Amazon, down from $170 to $132.

And to celebrate President's Day, Sihoo has announced up to 50% off loads of their chairs. Head over to their site for all the details, and remember the sale ends at midnight tonight.

Sihoo M18: was $170 now $132 at Amazon

Save $38: I love this chair, because it's such great value, but also because it's super comfy and can look amazing. I say 'can' because there are cool colours to choose from when you go direct to the Sihoo site. This deal is only available on Amazon, which is currently only stocking black and grey (go for grey, it's looks grey-t... sorry).

Why this is the best value chair

After using the Sihoo M18 chair for several months, these are the main reasons why I think it's the best budget office chair option for most users:

The lumbar support. Most chairs under $200 offer either a fixed lumbar support or a simple sliding option. The M18 offers for adjustment, allowing you to change the height and depth of the support. This level of adjustment is usually seen in chairs selling for $400 or more.

The M18 is big-person-friendly. It has a wider than average seat, and can take on bodies that weight up to 330 lbs (where many other budget options cap out at 250 lbs.)

You get a head rest! This may seem like an obvious thing to point out, but actually the more expensive the chair, the more chance you'll have to buy the head rest as extra.

It is worth noting that even though the M18 is a fantastic chair, it's not perfect. One of the biggest moans I have is that the arm rests only adjust up and down. Now, for me they are positioned perfectly so my side, so I don't actually need them to move left and right, but your mileage may vary on that.
