This ultraportable MSI laptop styles the most famous wave in art
And with $500 wiped off, the MSI Prestige 13 AI+ Ukiyoe Edition looks even more tempting.
As Christmas approaches, the desire for Nice Things rises accordingly. And while you, like me, have probably used up most of your money on presents for loved ones already, there is a chance you might have some extra set aside to Treat Yo Self(tm). Especially if you've managed to hold off on pulling the trigger on an overdue laptop purchase so far this year. However, with $500 off the MSI Prestige 13 AI+ Ukiyoe Edition, you might find your resolve tested...
If you have any money left over after buying Christmas presents and holiday food and snacks, consider investing in this ultra-portable MSI Prestige, which features a 2.8K OLED display that makes it feel much larger than the 13-inch screen it is.
Plus, the Ukiyoe Edition comes with a version of the famous Great Wave off Kanagawa artwork along with a cache of accessories, including a Bluetooth mouse, sleeve bag and a mouse pad. And with the price down $500, knocked from $1,999.99 to $1,499.99 at Best Buy, it's looking more and more tempting...
The Prestige 13 AI+ is one of MSI's lightest-ever laptops, and is a great MacBook Air alternative for Windows users. It will serve any hybrid worker, photo editor and casual content creator very well indeed. Plus, this fetching cover art will show you off rather nicely in the café...
But is it any good?
We reviewed this laptop's closely related sibling, the MSI Prestige 13 AI+ Evo, and while it didn't quite achieve four stars in our expert's evaluation, it should be kept in mind that the Evo is a 'diet' version of Prestige in terms of power, so our reviewer's main complaints, namely a lack of that, are addressed somewhat in this Ukiyoe Edition.
All the things we liked about the Evo are present here, such as the 2.8K OLED display, plentiful port allocation, excellent battery life and ultra-lightweight build, while the Intel Core Ultra 7-258V processor and 32GB of RAM will address many of our performance nitpicks from the Evo edition.
Our expert says: The 2.8K resolution display is the best thing, in my opinion, about this laptop. It looks fantastic. The display is crisp and sharp, and offers a high level of clarity. Photos and videos look great on it. The offering is only improved further by the matte finish, which meant I had no problem working in bright rooms.
