The Lunar New Year Google Doodle is straight fire (horse)
I love the paper craft aesthetic.

Lunar New Year is here, and to mark the occasion, we've been blessed with an adorable new Google Doodle. Celebrating the year of the fire horse, the design is a spirited homage to the Chinese holiday, combining traditional motifs with a bespoke artistic aesthetic.
The best Google Doodles are often the simplest, and this endearing design is no different. Stripped-back yet playful, this delightful design embodies the refreshed spirit of the Lunar celebrations, ushering in a fun and fiery New Year.

The new Google Doodle has a charming paper-craft aesthetic, creating a layered, handmade appeal. Motifs such as a lantern, a plate of dumplings, and a bright red apple nod to the celebrations (craftily spelling out the letters of the Google wordmark), while a red envelope (hóngbāo) and a diamond-shaped decoration (doufang) bring good luck into the New Year.
At the centre of the design is the silhouette of a horse, animated in a triumphant gallop across a fiery background. Framed by the lunar phases, the design combines the celestial and spiritual with the homely comfort of Chinese tradition, perfectly encapsulating the spirit of the celebrations.
