Why you can trust Creative Bloq
I've tested more of the best power banks than I could shake a stick at, and yet oftentimes I'm left wanting more. Call me power-hungry if you like, but there's just something so appealing about having an immense amount of power stored in a battery. It's not just me, is it?
Power banks such as the UGREEN Nexode 25000mAh (other brands are available) offer incredible portability and a respectable capacity, but it's nowhere near enough power when I'm out and about filming. I need something that can give juice to my laptop, multiple cameras, my phone, and if I'm lucky, a portable coffee machine.
That's why I was so glad to get my hands on the Anker SOLIX C1000 – the fastest recharging portable power station as certified by Guinness World Records on 14 August 2025. Did it end up satisfying my insatiable desire for power? You'll have to read on to find out.

Design and Build
- Well built and surprisingly portable
- Generous and well space port selection
- Would benefit from more USB ports
The Anker SOLIX C1000 is an incredibly well-built portable power station that blends a high power output with reasonable portability. It's far from small or light, but Anker has succeeded in delivering a form factor that is ideal for on-the-go creative endeavours as well as off-grid weekend trips.
To help with lugging this thing around, Anker has integrated two handles into the very fabric of the unit. These are not handles that are going to snap off or fail you when you're shifting it between home and the car or when you're on set. In fact, it's surprisingly comfortable to lift and, if you're feeling strong, can be transported with just one hand.
The ports are located primarily along the front face with a clean and well-organised layout. With a set of four AC outlets which are generously spaced, I was able to power multiple devices without worrying about plug adapters getting in the way of each other. Directly above these are the four USB ports, which are ideal for powering phones, laptops, or even smaller power banks. I would definitely like to have seen a greater number of these ports, because the current number quickly maxed out on complicated shoots.
While using the unit, I was grateful for the large, informative LCD display that provided all the real-time data that enabled me to make informed charging decisions. Displayed data includes battery percentage, current power input and output in watts, and the estimated time remaining for charging or discharging. I found it to be bright enough to guarantee visibility even when in full sun.

For ultimate practicality, especially while working in the evenings, there's a built-in ambient light strip that offers multiple brightness levels and an SOS mode. This adds a layer of utility that reinforces its design for practical, outdoor use.

Features and performance
- Super-fast recharging
- Should last a decade even with daily use
- Anker app integration
The SOLIX C1000 features HyperFlash fast-charging technology that enables the unit to recharge from 0 to 100% in around one hour. That's quite impressive, given the battery's capacity. I was expecting it to take several hours to charge, and I was pleasantly surprised that it recharged so rapidly. This is ideal for those times when you've only got access to mains power for a limited period of time before moving on again.
In addition, the unit is equipped with what Anker calls SurgePad technology, which enables the continuous 1800W AC output to briefly surge up to 2400W, enabling it to handle the high initial startup load of appliances like power tools and coffee makers. It sounds frivolous, but who doesn't love a coffee when they're working?
Anker's innovative technology continues with InfiniPower™ technology and premium LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries. These offer a far superior cycle life compared to traditional lithium-ion batteries and are rated for over 3,000 charge cycles while retaining 80% of their original capacity. That equates to a decade of daily use and guarantees you're going to get your money's worth.
I didn't find my need for it personally, but the C1000 is fully integrated with the Anker smartphone app. This provides users with real-time data as well as the ability to customise the AC charging speed. I generally wanted my devices charged as quickly as possible, but I can see its usefulness for those wanting a slower overnight charge or to maximise the long-term health of the battery. It also has the added benefit of quietening the unit, which can get a little noisy at times.
All in all, I found the SOLIX C1000 to be a reliable and trustworthy companion. It's not cheap, but if you can afford it, then it won't let you down.

Price
The power station attracts a price of $799 / £999, which puts it firmly in the middle range of the market. That said, Anker regularly provides generous discounts, and at the time of writing, the unit can be snapped up for just $397 at Anker US / £549 at Anker UK.
Popular alternatives include the EcoFlow Delta 2, which has a similar capacity and set of features, or the Jackery Explorer 1000. I'd say that the inclusion of HyperFlash technology and LiFePO4 battery chemistry make it worth every penny.

The Anker SOLIX C1000 is one of the best power stations on the market for offering that beautiful blend of power and portability. This device is for power-hungry creatives who regularly find themselves far from mains power.
