Believe it or not, photographers are actually some of the easiest people on the planet to buy for. We always need something. Whether it's a new lens, extra film, spare batteries, a software subscription (see some of the best photo editing software examples) – heck, even a personalised camera strap can be a sentimental gift to show your support.
Even for those of us who have the technical side of our wishlist all covered, you can never go wrong with the more whimsical camera-themed gifts like socks, aperture chocolates, the usual "I shoot people" joke mug, but please, do NOT buy one of those lens mugs that are absolutely everywhere. We all have one (I have 4), and they're not that nice to drink from either.
As a photographer with a master's degree in photography, I'm a little bit qualified to weigh in and offer some gift guidance here. So check out my roundup below of the best Valentine's Day gifts for photographers, or check out some of our top buying guides to help you shop for creatives in general.
