Nintendo missed a trick with the Pokémon Pokopia Switch 2 bundle

Attention Pokémon fans! Nintendo has answered our prayers and finally announced a Pokémon Pokopia Bundle for the Switch 2. Available on 5 June 2026 (not too long to wait), the nifty deal gets you Nintendo's latest Switch console and a full game download, so you're ready to get straight into building your cosy Pokémon world.

But don't get heart-eyed too soon. While it all sounds pretty exciting, I have one major gripe with the bundle deal – the complete lack of fun design. As we've seen in the past, Nintendo isn't shy of a custom Switch collab, from Animal Crossing to The Legend of Zelda (it's even launched a custom Pokémon Scarlet and Violet edition), so my question is: where is the custom Pokopia Switch 2 Nintendo?

Sadly, the Switch 2 Pokopia bundle has only been confirmed for Australia and New Zealand at the moment, so I can't promise that it will be dropping for US buyers (sorry, guys). If you're desperate to get your hands on this convenient little bundle, Best Buy has this passable Switch 2 + Pokopia bundle, and they've even chucked in an extra pair of Joy-Cons, which go for $99.99 on the official Nintendo store. While it's not the cheapest, it's a solid purchase if you're looking for a convenient bundle.

Ah, the aforementioned special edition Pokémon Switch. If only the new Pokopia bundle had followed suit.

If you're looking for a more traditional Pokémon fix, this Switch 2 bundle deal on Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a good steal. It includes a 256GB microSD Express Card for some handy extra storage, and they've chucked in a cleaning cloth for good measure. It's a fair bargain for a 2025 Pokémon title, and its high rating among fans seals the deal.
