This Apple Easter egg has been hiding in plain sight

Some emojis are more loved than others, which is probably why I've never noticed this detail hiding in the humble paper emoji. After discovering that the simple icon features a secret message, Apple fans were astounded and bemused by its surprising message.

This finding soon revealed more playful Easter eggs, proving design secrets are nestled all across Apple's software. Despite its minimalist brand aesthetics, Apple continuously proves it has a playful side amidst its slick products and elite UI design.

The discovery was brought to attention by a recent tweet revealing the letter's mysterious contents. Apple fans instantly recognised the opening lines "Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers," as the iconic quote from Apple's 1997 "Think Different" campaign, widely considered one of the best adverts of all time.

Surprisingly, it's not the only emoji to feature this design detail – the same 'Think Different' script can be found on the notebook, memo and scroll emojis. There's even a sneaky reference to the famous speech in the receipt icon, which lists "misfits", "square pegs" and "round holes".
