Generate is back in London for its fourth year

Generate – the conference for web designers and developers, brought to you by net magazine – is returning to London for the fourth year running on 21-23 September 2016.

The two-day, one-track conference element boasts 16 industry-leading speakers, and for the first time will be preceded by a day of hands-on workshops. This year, we also have brand new location: the Royal Institution, home of The Christmas Lectures. The Institution has promoted science and discovery for centuries, so is the perfect backdrop to boost your learning.

Pick up your early bird ticket now

Early bird tickets for are on sale right now. You can save £100 on a three-day pass (normally £595), or £100 on a two-day conference-only ticket (normally £395). These will be on sale until 2 June, so pick yours up now!

Stellar speakers

As always, there's a tip-top bunch of speakers lined up to cover the cutting-edge techniques, ideas and processes in the industry at the moment.

Opera's Bruce Lawson will present a keynote talk

Opera's Bruce Lawson will present a keynote talk

Keynote Bruce Lawson will kick off the event by explaining that WWW does not stand for wealthy Westerners' web, and show you how to bring your brands to new markets in Asia and Africa. Rachel Ilan Simpson will also touch on the topic in her talk on 'designing for our next billion users'.

Jeff Veen will share tips on building a creative culture

Jeff Veen will share tips on building a creative culture

Jeff Veen, another keynote, will share advice gleaned from two decades leading the teams behind some of the world's top digital products to explore how to craft a creative culture in a business.

There will be talks on the importance of testing with Ida Aalen, progressive web apps with Paul Lewis, motion design with Cennydd Bowles, and more.

Workshop day

For the first time this year, the Generate will also be presenting a full day of hands-on workshops, which will take place on 21 September. Learn how to sketch interfaces with Eva-Lotta Lamm, find out why data is Dawsome with Brendan Dawes, join Micah Godbolt to explore design systems, or discover the secret to building a profitable design business with Brad Weaver.

The Creative Bloq team is made up of a group of design fans, and has changed and evolved since Creative Bloq began back in 2012. The current website team consists of six full-time members of staff: Editor Kerrie Hughes, Deputy Editor Rosie Hilder, Deals Editor Beren Neale, Senior News Editor Daniel Piper, Digital Arts and Design Editor Ian Dean, and Staff Writer Amelia Bamsey, as well as a roster of freelancers from around the world. The 3D World and ImagineFX magazine teams also pitch in, ensuring that content from 3D World and ImagineFX is represented on Creative Bloq.
