The 2026 Winter Olympics are fast approaching, and Samsung has been very generous in supplying nearly 3,800 Galaxy Z Flip7 phones to competing Olympians and Paralympians. But not just any old Flip7 – an exclusive Olympic Edition.

The unique design of this handset is absolutely beautiful, and incorporates a signature blue covering the back glass of the device, paired with the custom gold metal frame that, according to Samsung, symbolises athletes’ pursuit of excellence and podium moments. Could it be one of the most beautiful camera phones ever?

But why the Galaxy Z Flip7? I would've thought that Samsung might want more attention on its latest Galaxy Z TriFold release instead. However, the pocket-sized form of the Flip7 actually works to its advantage in this case. It's intuitive, with a FlexWindow for quick updates, plus the one-handed usability makes it a practical option for athletes throughout the Olympic Winter Games.

The Olympic Edition Galaxy Z Flip7 promises to offer practical services to help enhance their experience in the Olympic Village, with an on-device real-time translator, plus the Dual Recording feature. This allows users to capture both what they see and their own reactions by using the rear and front cameras at the same time.

In addition, the device comes with a clear case with a blue circular magnet attached, surrounded by gold laurel leaves added as a motif of victory. The colourful curves are said to represent winter sports, inspired by marks generated from the interaction between skate blades and ice surfaces. These design elements definitely celebrate the Olympic spirit, and I think it looks stunning.

Each device also includes special Olympic Winter Games–themed wallpaper created specifically for Milano Cortina 2026. If only I could get my hands on one of these. What do you think of this Olympic Edition smartphone?

Prices for the standard Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 initially started at $1,099.99 / £1,049 for the 256GB model, but we're seeing prices fall to around $899 lately. Don't forget, you can benefit from Samsung student discount if you're looking to get yourself one of these handsets. Take a look at our deals widget below for the best current prices in your region.
