Today marks the 50th anniversary of Apple, which is wild and somehow exactly what you’d expect, because the company that Jobs, Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne scribbled into existence in 1976 has insistently, relentlessly reshaped everything from how we listen to music, how we communicate, how we take pictures, and how we create art.
What's also interesting is how a design accessories industry has emerged around Apple, giving us new ways to use iPhones and Apple Watches that perhaps even Apple hadn't envisioned. There's a retro-ish aluminium watch case that turns Apple Watch into an iPod-alike, a tiny Macintosh-inspired iPod case that winks at 1984 and a Leica-built camera grip that turns your iPhone into something you’d actually choose to shoot with – all of it not made by Apple but something every Apple fan should really have in their drawer.
