06. Syfy
Cable television channel Syfy make a point of regularly featuring new idents, all of which use various scenarios to bring its well-known name together. But, as we're sure you're aware by now from our other Lego posts, we're big fans of the little building bricks so just had to include this amazing Lego-themed ident for the sci-fi channel. Loving the cool accompanying soundtrack too, developed by Madrid-based sound designer Daniel Rodrigo.
07. Gloob
Launched in June this year, Gloob is a children’s entertainment channel created by Brazilian TV Globosat. These fun and perfectly age-appropriate idents were designed by Globosat’s in-house team, with additional 3D animation created by Rio de Janeiro-based digital design studio Seagulls Fly. We particularly like this simple logo, and the fact that the video features He-Man too!
08. TF1
How cool are these funny little stings for French TV channel TF1? We love the variety of scenarios here, not to mention the awesome characters and animation work. The brilliant idents were the brainchild of the directors at Nobrain and brought to life by post-production company Sabotage Studio. Oh, and just incase you're wondering, the team aren't promoting hitting the pub during an ad break, the letters simply stand for publicity.
09. 4music
This year, British music and entertainment channel 4music decided to refresh its on-air branding with four seriously cool dance idents. Freelance London-based designer Nicholas Bentley worked on all of the videos, leading the creative design and direction on each project. We particularly liked the above pool ident but the 'Street' and 'Gas' idents are equally as good.
10. Fashion TV, Spain
This ultra-cool ident for Fashion TV channel in Spain was developed by Madrid-based creative director Helio Vega. The video 'Show the real you' starts off with generic fashion shots before an unexpected twist replaces models faces with that of various animals. A fantastic example of super stylish branding.
